Fort McMurray entered a state of emergency in May of 2016 due to Catastrophic wildfires that consumed over 522,895 hectares of land with an estimated 2,400 homes destroyed, and 88,000 people evacuated.

The KA CAT Team was mobilized and immediately started contacting insureds under the direction of insurers.
